Celtic Thunder - Coffs Harbour - June 2006

<------- Most days the weather in this part of the world looks like this. But even on this rare cold and rainy Saturday, the band still had a great time playing to a surprisingly large but slightly damp audience sitting up in the grandstand. ------->
Bush Wedding - Tenterfield - May 2006
Road trip! The band took this great opportunity to do some sightseeing and hiking in the Gibraltar Range, rugged and breathtaking! Photo includes Deb and Bron, occasional backup singers and wives to John and Robbie respectively.
The wedding bonfire, near the dance area. It was beautiful, the flames reaching up toward a southern sky blazing with stars. John's sitting in front of it to provide scale. It was huge mate! The band played some very lively tunes and a grand time was had by all!

<------ Shearing quarters where we stayed overnight, sleeping in bunk beds all in a row like the 7 dwarves. After a huge breakfast of snags and goat chops (yum!) John and Mark explored this little schoolhouse on the property (Old Mingula Station). -------->
Music Under the Trees - Sawtell - May 2006

As you can see from the photos, we had a brilliant time here in sunny Sawtell, playing our music under an old Moreton Bay Fig for all to hear as they enjoyed superb food and drink at the local eateries along the streets, or stopped to clap and sing along with us. Thanks to Warren Sly for organising this event.
Relay for Life - Dorrigo - April 2006
Many people helped raise funds for the Cancer Council to combat this most horrible of diseases by walking or running in a relay around the Dorrigo showground track. We were happy to provide some lively music to help keep everyone moving.
Curryfest - Woolgoolga - April 2006

This was the inaugural festival and we were honoured to be asked to play. The stage was situated at the junction of the two main streets and right next to "Curried Away", the (most excellent and delicious) food wagon. Stunning arts and crafts abounded as well, a credit to our village and the sikh community.
St Patrick's Day - Amble Inn, Corindi Beach - March 2006
This little beachside community is very supportive of Headland and we had a wild time that night, playing every Irish song, tune, jig or reel we knew, sharing the stage with Dominic Schultz, irish dancer extraordinaire. What an evening!
Folk and Blues Festival - Dorrigo - October 2005

Quite a few top Australian musicians attend this festival so we feel honoured to be asked to perform here. It's an opportunity to just hang out for a weekend with fellow musicians, attend workshops, enjoy the local food and drink ... and the scenery! Dorrigo truly takes your breath away.
Rehearsals

Rehearsing in Kevin's garage on a balmy summer's day. The practices can be as much fun as the performances. Band members take turns hosting the practices, usually held weekly and generally more often when leading up to a gig.
